Family travel is a great way for parents and kids to enjoy each other's company without the day-to-day hassles of work, school, and household chores. It's also a way for families to explore new destinations together and create memories that will last for decades.

Beach Vacations

A Family Beach Vacation is a traditional choice for families to escape the harsh Midwest and Northeast winters. A week in Cancun, along the Florida coast, or on one of many Caribbean islands, is a relaxing way to spend time together. Parents can relax on the beach while kids enjoy the waves and the sand. Older kids can try windsurfing, snorkeling, or any one of a myriad of watersports available at most resorts. All-inclusive resorts are a good choice for families that wish to try a number of activities. No need to worry about the cost; it's all included.

Active Vacations

Active families can try a vacation that centers around a sport, such as a family ski vacation or a rafting adventure. Other options include bicycling treks, scuba diving vacations, and camping expeditions.

Theme Parks

Theme parks are a natural family vacation, and no one does it better than Disney. Disneyland, in Anaheim on the west coast, is the original Disney theme park and still attracts millions of visitors each year to see Main Street USA, Adventureland, Fantasyland...and, of course, Mickey Mouse. When he's not in California, Mickey spends his days at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, outside of Orlando, Florida. This huge complex includes EPCOT center, a learning park comprised of the World Showcase and FutureWorld, a collection of exhibits about science, imagination, and the world we live in; Disney MGM Studios, a working TV and movie studio as well as a theme park; and Disney's Animal Kingdom, the newest Disney Park -- part animal safari and part amusement park.

Whatever destination you choose, a family vacation is a wonderful way for a family to bond, share experiences, and grow as a family.
