Colorado Bed and Breakfast
From LoveToKnow Travel
Colorado bed and breakfast inns are an electic bunch, a combination of Victorian townhouses, sprawling ranches, and cozy mountain lodges. Colorado is a beautiful state, filled with mountains, meadows, lakes, and fields of wildflowers. It's an outdoor paradise in all but the most severe weather, and is noted for its world-class skiing, climbing, hiking, and historic mining and lumbering towns. Below is a sampling of some of the state's most interesting bed and breakfast inns:
Northern Colorado
Northern Colorado encompasses the metropolitan city of Denver, the Colorado flatland, and the entrance to the Rocky Mountains. It's an area of dramatic changes as the prairie gives way to mountain peaks. Rocky Mountain National Park, just outside of Estes Park, gives visitors a chance to drive through the different elevations and view the varied animal and plantlife.

Other amenities include a hot tub and spacious deck, a full European-style breakfast, and a river with fishing rights. There's even a Scottish minister onsite to perform mountain weddings.
Central Colorado
Central Colorado contains the modern ski resorts of Copper Mountain, Vail, and Keystone as well as the historic towns of Georgetown, noted for its gingerbread-style Victorian homes, and Leadville, a former mining town. All of these towns have the magnificent Rocky Mountains as a backdrop.

South of Pikes Peak, you'll find Cripple Creek, a sleepy mining town, little changed since the late 19th century.
