Free Entertainment in Las Vegas

From LoveToKnow Travel

Las Vegas is known for its elaborate shows, luxury shopping, and fabulous dining options, but did you know that there are many options for free entertainment in Las Vegas? From the spectacular Bellagio fountain to touring the Ethel M Chocolate candy factory, just outside of town, Las Vegas will keep you amused without unloading your wallet. Among the many options are:

The Fountains at the Bellagio Hotel

Fountains at Bellagio

One of the most popular sites for free entertainment in Las Vegas are the fountains in front of the Bellagio Hotel at the south end of the Strip. Each afternoon and evening (from 3pm Sunday through Friday and from noon on Saturday and Sunday), the Bellagio Fountains erupt in a choreographed show coordinated with music and lights. The show repeats every half hour until midnight, weather-permitting.

Fremont Street Experience

Free Entertainment in Las Vegas is not limited to the Las Vegas Strip. Downtown Las Vegas has its attractions, too. The most spectacular of these is the Fremont Street Experience. Here, a $70 million laser light canopy covers the pedestrian zone on Fremont Street. Every evening, on the hour, from dusk until midnight, the canopy comes alive with synchronized lights and music – all overhead.

Thirty-one lions and lionesses take turns showing off for the crowd. Separated by 1 ½ inches of glass, visitors can watch the felines play, sleep, groom themselves, and eat. The Lion Habitat Exhibit is open every day from 11am to 10pm.
